The New York Football Giants came out swinging, literally... Huge fight on day one of padded practice!
Like at the bottom.. Thanks for reading!!
Its no secret that today at practice, the boys got after it. We can't let the fighting linger for too long, but the fire is lit in New York City...
You cant help but love, when your team is chomping at the bit to hit a mother fucker so much, that day one in pads devolves into a UFC octagon. I love even more that our franchise QB is ready to scrap alongside his guys!!
Apparently it was started with a shove, from Evan Engram to Jabril Peppers after a hit that was deemed to be a little late and a little rough for Engram's liking... With Logan Ryan coming to Pepper's side, the benches cleared and even the water boys and ball boys threw some fists.
The scuffle continued and resulted in Danny Dimes on the ground waiting for someone to get the 300 pounders off of him.
Joe Judge, last seen diving on footballs in puddles, was noticeably not happy... he chewed the boys out in a swear infested tirade, after the 'brawl' that ensued at big blue's first padded practice.
Judge then lined up players, and even coaches and had em running the rest of practice. Building a culture is one thing, but Joe Judge has it turned up to 12... And it seems to be working.
The team is ready to tear each other apart, and thats a good thing this early in camp, with limited video and reporting of the incident itself you have to chalk it up to the highly competitive atmosphere brought by Judge.
I'm apart of the team... apart of the offense, and we are competing... I don't see myself any different - Daniel Jones
So competitive that your third year QB dives into a fight and ends up on the bottom of a pile? Yes...
But he didn't get hurt, so thats that... A move that will definitely help Jones earn the respect of the locker room again this season.
In his first two years in the league Daniel Jones, has performed just about to expectations, this season they are going up... Way up, a year 3 jump just below the size of Josh Allen's is what big blue nation is here for.... and nothing less.
Stats really aren't the marker for young Daniel Dimes, its results... anything less than 9+ wins, and a playoff birth will not tolerated by an impatient New York fan base.
The return of Saquon Barkley, being eased back into training camp, the acquisition of weapons this offseason, with a mature Daniel Jones; the excuses are limited for Jason Garrets offense in year 2.
The fire is lit, the execution must follow...
Daniel Jones and the Giants Offense produced 3026 passing yards (29th), and 12 passing tds (31st) in 2020, which is no where near where we expect Jones and Garrett to be at the end of this season.
I believe in Daniel Jones, and I believe in Joe Judge, idk about Jason Garret, but I hope he's the greatest OC of all time and just didn't realize it until this year.
The players and coaches have seemed to buy into the Joe Judge way, which is a great thing for an organization that hasn't done anything worth a damn since Eli Manning decided too win us to two super bowls.
This is Daniel's year, he has the keys to a Ferrari in the Giants offense, lets hope our swiss cheese, O line can keep him upright long enough to find an open man....
This is Daniels Year, Make Or Break...
